Incoming Mail!

I finally picked up my mail from my moms house and I was surprised to see so many letters! Amongst my bank crap were these gems! I really liked them cause I felt like they matched so well! I'm loving the triangle patterns and the eerie postcard of a cemetery. I love good mail days!
Now I just need to catch up on all my replies! I've been falling behind again!

Neat Artist: Camila Sitarama Carlow

I was wandering around tumblr the other day when I came across this amazing photo set! I just had to share. The artist is Camila Sitarama Carlow. (You can read about her here!) She did this project called Eye "Heart" Spleen. It an awesome concept where she takes natural items and sculpts them into organs. (Read more about the project here!) I love this concept cause it pulls humans and nature closer together. Both are very intricate and fragile. Overall they are just incredibly beautiful and amazing.

You can buy some of these prints from her Etsy shop HERE!

Doodle Patterns

I was working on a zine a while ago that was mostly short stories and poems. I made all of these patterns as backgrounds and ended up not using any of them. Mixing text with patterns wasn't a good idea after all. I'm still gonna use these for a zine just haven't figured out what yet. I thought I'd share them anyways cause they turned out pretty neat!

The last one is my favorite oddly enough. I hated it when I was first working on it. So I just over worked it until it was something I liked! Now its my favorite!

Lovely Things: Pencils

I was sketching the other day and realized how awesome pencils are. I mean I'm more of a pen person but I always sketch in pencil first. So heres my pencil appreciation post and findings!
The most important part of pencils (or pens) is having a place to keep them organized! So a pencil case is a must! I'm loving this blue and peachy one from THIS shop. But I'd love to get my hands on THIS one!
Customizable pencils! I'm pretty sure I'd go crazy trying to think of clever things to put on these pencils. I thought that it would be neat to make custom pencils for all my pen pals. Find them HERE
Adorable twig pencils! Not very practical but they look way neat! You can find them HERE

Now I know this video seems a bit long, but watch it! It gets more funny near the end. You can read more about artisanal pencil sharpening HERE
Isn't this amazing! In my head the artist uses teeny tiny tools to cave these teeny tiny sculptures! Some people have some crazy mad skills! See more of his work HERE

Vintage mechanical pencils! I love vintage and I love pencils so I'm completely smitten over these! You can find more cool vintage office supplies over at Rad and Hungry! They also have an awesome subscription box you can get. I'm already signed up for way to many of those boxes!

So many pencils not enough time!
